Disc images are becoming increasingly popular, and this is why the need of programs to create, convert, and manage these files arises. ISO Workshop is a program that does that. It offers access to five tools that prove to be very helpful when it comes to managing disc images.
Although, the developers claim that ISO Workshop supports all the common disc image formats, when it comes to creating them, users will only be able to make ISO files. Another aspect that needs to be worked on is the absence of a button that would allow users to add files when creating disc images. This operation can only be done by dragging and dropping files into the main window. This can be quite annoying at times.
The conversion process, on the other hand, really impressed me. I was able to convert different image formats (ISO, BIN, NRG, CUE, MDF) to ISO, as well as BIN image types. Also, the conversion speed is quite high, regardless of the size of the converted file. Similarly, ISO Workshop extracts contents from disc image files.
In addition to previously mentioned operations, ISO Workshop also offers a disk burning tool that supports CDs, DVDs, and other types of optical disks. I really liked that this program runs in all the popular Windows versions, including Windows 8.
