ISO Workshop is an easy-to-use utility that offers you five interesting ISO-related functions. It allows you to create new ISO images, burn existing ISO files to disc (CD, DVD, or Blu-ray), extract selected files from an ISO image, make backup copies of any disc, and convert images between ISO and BIN.
The program provides an attractive and simple 5-item menu from where you can navigate to any of the five functions described above. Each option opens a new window designed to make things as simple as possible to all types of users – you will be presented with only those settings that are strictly necessary to perform the task in question.
Though none of the tasks supported require any special skills, creating a new ISO image or burn an existing one to disc are probably the two most straightforward options, or at least the ones that all ISO-related tools usually include. You can choose between a standard ISO image file and a bootable one. The first supports various file systems – namely, UDF, ISO, and a combination of both. The latter will produce IMG or IMA files capable of starting up your system after a major disk failure.
Converting an image file from ISO to BIN and vice versa is an equally straightforward and simple task, though not so easily found. It is a pity that BIN and ISO are the only two image formats supported for the output, though you can select any NRG, CDI, MDF, IMG, GI, PDI, DMG, B5I, and B6I at the input side for conversion. more
