An ISO image is a file storing an exact copy of a file system, usually an optical disc. As it stores not only the file contents but the structure as well, it is ideal for creating backups or disc projects.
ISO Workshop is a straightforward application that will help you create ISO images from local files and folders, burn them to discs, extract files from ISO and other image formats, back up a disc to an ISO or BIN image file or create ISO from various disc image formats.
Using ISO Workshop is made very easy thanks to the way its user interface has been organized. There is a welcome screen from which you can pick one of the available tasks and you will be able to navigate through the interface by using the File menu. This means that you can always return to the initial screen to pick another function. However, it may take a while to figure out how to get back to the previous screen, a difficulty that could have been easily avoided by using a Back button. In addition, it will not allow you to jump directly from one task to another because the corresponding buttons will appear grayed. The different tasks will be quite similar as they will usually require selecting a file, performing a given action and then choosing a location for the resulting file.
Shortly, the main advantage of ISO Workshop is its simplicity. However, in this case, simplicity seems to go against comprehensiveness. So, do not expect this program to do anything beyond these basic capabilities.
